Imperial War Museums Retail and Admissions
London & Duxford
2013 - 2016

We have delivered 4 shops at the Imperial War Museums with Concept Display. This consists of 3 locations in the main museum in Lambeth, and one location at the Churchill War Rooms. We have developed an adaptable scheme that has been seamlessly implemented over these three locations. At the heart of each shop is a suite of well-crafted units that are themselves flexible and modular to allow for shifts in product ranges and shop layout. The overarching colour scheme across all retail spaces is neutral, and modern, with pops of colour.

We focused on clever, creative display to maximise visitor spend and dwell time. To this end, pegboards are mounted on the walls to display the museum’s full range of wartime posters. This creates a visual centerpiece, as well as providing more surfaces for display. There are also hanging model planes that add a vintage feel.
