Lowther Castle, in Cumbria, is famed for its romantic ruined monument and magical gardens. This extensive project involved the redesign of Lowther Castle’s visitor facilities and brand. We delivered a new café and shop in the courtyard, an admissions area, and a permanent exhibition telling the story of the castle, and the Yellow Earl. We incorporated motifs such as scaffolding to evoke the castle’s history – from falling into disrepair to its recent and ongoing restoration. We collaborated with Cosima Dinkel, who provided graphics and new branding.
